Privacy

This page says how Parchita handles information today. If that changes, we update this page and its date first.

Visiting this website

• No cookies, no advertising or tracking scripts, and no analytics service. Fonts and images come from our own server, so your browser does not call anyone else.
• Like any website, our servers log each request: your IP address, the time, the page asked for and your browser's name. We use these logs for security and to fix problems, keep them for up to one year, and never sell them.
• A cookie is set only when someone signs in to the app, to keep them signed in.

Writing to us

Email to support@parchita.rent is kept in Parchita's Google email and used to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.

Landlords who use Parchita

• What a landlord and its staff put into Parchita (tenants', applicants' and vendors' names, phone numbers and emails, leases, charges, payments, expenses, messages, notes and documents) belongs to the landlord. We use it only to run the service for that landlord.
• We do not sell it, use it for advertising, use it to train AI models, or combine it with other landlords' data. Counts with no personal detail (for example, how many units are on the free plan) help us run the business.
• Parchita does not ask for Social Security numbers, dates of birth or ID images and has no field for them. We ask landlords not to upload documents that show them.
• Card and bank details are entered on Stripe's pages and go to Stripe directly. They never reach Parchita.
• Everything is stored in the United States on Google Cloud, encrypted, with each landlord's data kept apart from every other landlord's.
• A landlord can ask us for a copy of all of its data at any time. When it closes its account, we send that copy if it wants one, then delete its records and files within 30 days of its written confirmation. Backups age out, so nothing remains anywhere after 60 days.

Who else handles it

• Google (Google Cloud, Google sign-in, Google Workspace): hosting, sign-in and our mailbox, in the United States.
• Stripe: billing for Parchita's own subscription; card details go to Stripe, not to us. For rent, the landlord is Stripe's own customer.

We add no one to this list without telling landlords by email first.

Tenants

If your landlord uses Parchita, your landlord decides what information about you is kept and why. Ask your landlord first; if you write to us about your information, we pass your request to your landlord and help them answer.
